RAY MATHEWS, plays both end and halfback positions... team's leading receiver for the past two years... rated one of the most dangerous men in the league... great speed... last year he caught 31 passes for five touchdowns... during off-season, owns and operates a service station in his hometown, Port Vue, Pa.

JACK McCLAIREN, a journeyman player from little-known Bethune-Cookman College... started his third season, he operates both as an end and a slotback... has shown signs of greatness ... led the Negro conference (24 schools in pass receiving and points scored... born in Panama City, Fla., now lives in Pittsburgh.

BILL McCLUNG, a third year man who plays both ways... spends most of his time with the defensive unit... great speed for a big fellow... went to Florida A & M... but gained his reputation in Army football... operates an auto repair shop during the off-season... lives in Pittsburgh.
